Terms and Conditions for the Pay-It-Forward Program of Lightword Productions GmbH
These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your participation in the Pay-It-Forward Program (the “Program”) offered by Lightword Productions GmbH (“us”, “we”). By participating in the Program, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Pay-It-Forward Contributions
Pay-It-Forward: The Program enables you to make financial contributions to support the development of the first season of ONE of 500 and the translation of the game into additional languages. These contributions are not donations but enable the expansion and improvement of the game and its availability.
Allocation of Contributions: Funds generated from your contributions will be used for the development of the first season of the game, translation into additional languages, and provision of the game on platforms such as Steam at no additional cost to players.
2. Rewards for Contributions
· Thank You Letter: Every contributor will receive a thank you letter from us.
· DRM-Free Version: Contributors of 25€ or more will receive a DRM-free version of ONE of 500. That’s currently the Prologue level, but free updates for Season 1 will be added as soon as available (if the season is fully funded).
· Credit Acknowledgement: Contributions of 100€ or more will result in your name being mentioned in the game’s credits. If you don’t wish to be in the credits, please send us an email.
· Become a Character: With a contribution of 1000€ or more, you will have the opportunity to be immortalized as a character in the game.
3. Supporter Version
Purchases made under the “Supporter Version” page include all future updates and educational features. This version is not currently available on Steam but can be downloaded directly as an *.exe file without an intermediary client. The current version does not yet include extra educational and group features; however, these will be added free of charge through an update upon complete funding of the project.
4. Conditions
· Participation in the Program requires a valid email address and the provision of all required information.
· You acknowledge that the contributions you make are specifically for the development and improvement of the game and are not classified as donations.
5. Disclaimer of Liability
Lightword Productions GmbH shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from your participation in the Program, to the extent permitted by law.
6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by the law of the country in which Lightword Productions GmbH is based. All disputes arising from these Terms shall be exclusively resolved in the competent courts located in the jurisdiction of Lightword Productions GmbH.
7. Amendments to the Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued participation in the Program following such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
8. Individual Dispute Resolution
You agree to bring any claims or disputes you may have against us on an individual basis only and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative action or proceeding.
9. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be modified to reflect the parties’ intention or eliminated to the minimum extent such that the remaining provisions of the Terms will continue in full force and effect.
10. Risk Disclaimer
We highlight that your support will help fund Season 1, but the completion depends on the whole funding of each episode and the seasons to reach all goals. Therefore, you might not receive all planned future updates of ONE of 500. The completion and delivery of these depend on the total funding received.
